The campaign was launched in cooperation with Vietnam Post to encourage people throughout the country to apply for basic insurance services.

Insurance applications have increased following a publicity campaign by the Vietnam Social Security.

According to Vietnam Social Security, 30,269 individuals applied for voluntary social insurance while the number of applications for household health insurance was 58,803.

Thanh Hoa, Tien Giang and Ho Chi Minh City recorded the largest numbers of applications for social insurance while new applications for household health insurance were most prevalent in Ho Chi Minh City, Ben Tre and Binh Duong.

Vietnam is aiming to have 35% of the working population covered by social insurance and 90.9% of the population covered by health insurance by the end of 2020.

(BGO) - According to Division of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hiep Hoa district (Bac Giang province), after 5 years implementing the Resolution No 130-NQ/TU of the provincial Standing Party Committee dated 16 August 2016 on accelerating application of high technologies in farm production in 2016-2020 period, Hiep Hoa district has fulfilled land consolidation and established 33 large fields with total 2,500 hectares of high-quality rice growing area, hitting 100 percent of the set target.
