Students praised for bravery and good deeds
According to teacher Nguyen Cong Hoa, deputy rector of Tan Hung secondary school, Dang Thi Ngoc Anh, a student of class 8C, Tan Hung secondary school unfortunately fell down Yen Lai canal, the section in Vinh Thinh village, Tan hung commune on the way home on September 26. At that time, Khoa and Quang were passing and witnessed the incident. As they could swim and had some skills, they tried to approach and save the victim. Nguyen Dang Khoa swam into the water to push the victim to the bank of the canal while Quang managed to pull the friend up.
Dang Thi Ngoc Anh’s family came to thank Khoa and Quang after the incident. The school board praised their act of bravery in front of their class and the whole school.
According to Trieu Van Tung, Head of the public security of Song Khe commune in Bac Giang city, on the same day, this agency collaborated with the school board of Nguyen Khac Nhu secondary school and the Children’s Council of Song Khe commune to praise Than Mai Vy and Khong Thi Thanh Huyen, students of class 9A, Nguyen Khac Nhu secondary school for their good deeds of returning the lost assets to the owner.

Previously, they found a wallet on the way home from school and brought it to the communal public security station to return the owner. The wallet contained 2.5 million VND (110.5 USD) of cash, a mobile phone worth about 20 million VND (883.8 USD), an ATM card and many other important personal papers. For a while, the communal public security verified and contacted to return the lost assets to Le Thi Han in the same commune of Song Khe. Han expressed her gratitude to the students and the school. The communal public security also praised these students.
According to teacher Hoan Van Thanh, rector of Nguyen Khac Nhu secondary school, Than Mai Vy’s family faced difficult conditions. Her mother died early and she is living with her father and sick grandmother. Khong Thi Thanh Huyen’s parents are self-employed workers. They are good and hard-working students.
