Thousands of people attend Red Sunday blood donation festival

Thousands of people participated in the Red Spring Festival - Red Sunday blood donation festival held in Lang Son city on January 4.

The event was jointly held by the Red Cross Society, Lang Son provincial Youth Union, the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, the National Traffic Safety Committee and Tien Phong Newspaper.

Local people donate blood at the festival held in Lang Son.

The event is expected to collect more than 500 units of blood to bring hope and blood transfusions for patients in need of blood during the Tet holidays.

More than 7,000 people generously donated 4,400 units of blood in Lang Son province in 2019.

*On the same day, the Youth Union of Hai Duong province also launched the Red Sunday Festival with the participation of more than 600 students.

The event is anticipated to collect 400-500 units of blood on its launching day.
