The tree planting campaign has been well organised annually in Yen Dung district when spring comes. This activity creates cheerful atmosphere on New Year occasion contributing to fulfilling the 2020 socio-economic development duties and raising people’s awareness of forest protection and development especially forest fire prevention and environmental protection.

At the launching ceremony, the participants, teachers, students and people of Tan Dan town planted 174 trees of different types including faux acajen, flamboyant, golden oak, dracontomelon, golden shower tree, lagerstroemia, bodhi tree and yellow tabebuia tree in the town’s kindergarten, on the side road connecting the provincial road No 299 with the provincial road No 293 to Tay Yen Tu, the side road connecting the provincial road No 293 with Vinh Nghiem pagoda and Truc Lam Phuong Hoang Zen Institute.

Yen Dung district planted 20,000 trees on the launching day of the tree planting campaign this year. The trees were planted within the public agencies and schools, along the channels, hills and barren lands.

*The “tree planting campaign in memory of Uncle Ho” was also launched in Quang Minh junior high school, Viet Yen district on 30 January.

In order to spread the meanings of tree planning campaign, the district directed the local party committees, governments and agencies to propagandise to the mass of people about the enormous and long-term benefits of tree planting and forestation.

The local tree planting campaigns have been launched at the cultural houses, schools and inter-village and inter-commune routes. Besides, the communes and towns prepared good seedlings and arranged sufficient human resources to organise the tree planting campaigns

Representatives of the Forest Protection Authority of Luc Ngan district join tree planting campaign at Uncle Ho’s fruit garden.

Each locality plants at least 1,000 green trees and from 3 to 5 kilometres of flower streets. The tree planting campaign is scheduled from 30 January to 15 February.

Also on this occasion, the districts of Hiep Hoa, Son Dong, Yen The and Luc Ngan launched the tree planting campaign. These localities called a large number of public officials, party members and people to plant thousands of trees of different types while directing taking good care of the planted trees.
