Two Bac Giang students winning APhO medals welcomed home
BAC GIANG - On the afternoon of June 10, the Ministry of Education and Training organized a welcoming ceremony for the Vietnamese National Team participating in the 24th Asian Physics Olympiad in 2024 at Noi Bai International Airport (Hanoi City). This year, 8 members of the Vietnamese National Team all won medals, including 1 Gold Medal, 1 Silver Medal and 6 Bronze Medals.
Bac Giang province first ever has had two students at 12th Physics Class of the Bac Giang High School for the Gifted. Joining the contest and winning medals. Than The Cong won gold medal while Truong Phi Hung bagged a bronze medal.

Director of the Bac Giang provincial Department of Education and Training Ta Viet Hung, Administration Board of Bac Giang High School for the Gifted, families, teachers and friends joined the event to welcome them home.
Amid the pride and joy, the provincial leader of education sector praised the outstanding achivement of two students, affirmed that it has prolonged the golden achievement table of Bac Giang High School for the Gifted and Bac Giang education sector. Thereby, the result contributed to improving Vietnam's key educational achievements in regional and international arenas.
Also, he hoped that they will exert more efforts to win more achievements and bring glory to the homeland and country.
The 2024 APhO was held in Malaysia from June 3-10, bringing together 28 teams with 208 contestants from 27 countries and territories.
