In Quang Chau commune, in the morning of February 26, eight teams in the villages received the information of 1,300 workers from other provinces. Immediately after making declarations, the workers were instructed to return to their boarding rooms for self-quarantine and treatment. These cases will be counted by the communal Command Center for Covid-19 Prevention and Control. Then the centre will request the district Health Center to issue a code for each case as a basis for issuing a decision on quarantine and treatment measures in the boarding rooms.
Ngo Cao Thang, Vice Chairman of the Quang Chau commune People's Committee said: "Along with the establishment of the support teams, the commune assigned each leader to be in charge of a village and deducted funds to support meals for the teams’ members. In order to monitor workers under treatment at boarding rooms, we required boarding house owners to commit to supervising and reminding workers to strictly abide by quarantine regulations."
Previously, Bac Giang Newspaper and some other newspapers reported that due to the high number of new Covid-19 cases, the province's Covid-19 treatment facility for workers at the CT3 building of Fuji Bac Giang Development Joint Stock Company was overloaded, so many workers, after being found to be positive for the coronavirus, went back to their boarding rooms for quarantine and treatment. This affected not only the treatment process but also the management of the local authorities. Many localities showed embarrassments in dealing with workers from other provinces.

From February 26, villages and residential areas in Viet Yen district directly receive health declaration information. |
Fixing this situation, on February 25, Standing Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Mai Son issued a document directing the strengthening pandemic prevention and control at production and business establishments and enterprises.
Accordingly, the districts and city mobilize forces to support localities near industrial zones to make health declarations and issue decisions allowing F0s to self-quarantine at their residences. Thanks to that, there are no longer overloads, and positive cases have been guided and supported in a timely manner.
Nguyen Dai Luong, Chairman of the Viet Yen district People's Committee said: "The establishment of medical declaration support teams has met the needs of local people as well as workers staying in boarding houses in the locality. All cases under treatment at home and in the boarding room were provided with treatment instructions; prescriptions and drug use according to each disease level; and rapid test kits (free of charge). For patients with severe disease developments, the People's Committees of communes and townships proactively prepare means and coordinate with the district health center to transfer them for treatment at higher levels".
