Vietnamese beaches among world's most viewed on TikTok

Beaches at Vung Tau and Nha Trang have been ranked third and fourth respectively on a list of the 10 most viewed beaches on TikTok.

Vung Tau in southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province had 238 million views on TikTok, placing it just behind Australia’s Bondi Beach (660 million) and Thailand’s Pattaya Beach (345 million), according to the report by U.S. luggage storage company Bounce.

It analyzed the social media popularity of each beach based on the number of video views, including the hashtag of each location.

Nha Trang, a popular resort city in Khanh Hoa Province, reached 122 million views on TikTok, well above Indonesia’s Kelingking Beach at fifth position (67 million).

The rest of the top 10 were JBR Beach in the United Arab Emirates, Playa Paraiso in Mexico, and Australia’s Airlie, Whitehaven, and Manly beaches.

Nha Trang is one of the top beach holiday destinations in Vietnam, with visitors able to enjoy boat cruises, hot air balloon rides, and scuba diving.

Around 100 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau is typically crowded on weekends and national holidays.
