Vietnamese woman shines at beauty contest in Russia

Vietnamese contestant Le Thi Ngoc Bich won the second runner-up and Miss Friendly titles of the Miss Asia Ural 2019 beauty pageant held in Yekaterinburg city of Russia on June 1
Bich, a final-year student from Ural Federal University, said she decided to enter the contest to help foreign friends learn more about Vietnam.

The contest’s final round featured eight contestants from different ethnic groups of Russia and several Asian countries.
Milana Kombiu Siurun from the Tyva Republic was crowned Miss Asia Ural 2019, while Victoria Suborova from the Buryatia Republic finished first runner-up.
Vietnam’s ethnic minority beauty queen has surpassed Miss World and Miss International on a Timeless Beauty shortlist.
H’Hen Nie, a top 5 Miss Universe contestant, is working to preserve ethnic minority traditions and improve living standards.
U.S.-based Go Overseas website has ranked Vietnam eighth in its list of top 10 travel destinations for 2019.
An award ceremony was held in Hanoi on December 20 to honor the winners of a photo contest introducing Vietnam’s charm, which was launched by Nhan Dan (The People) newspaper’s television channel.
