The winners of the 14th Dedication Music Awards were officially announced and honoured at a ceremony held in Ho Chi Minh City on April 16.
Dong Nhi was honoured with the ‘Singer of the Year’ award for her impressive activities in 2018. Meanwhile, Vu Cat Tuong received the ‘Musician of the Year’ award for her outstanding achievements in composition last year.

The ‘Best Song of the Year’ title went to ‘Co ai thuong em nhu anh’ (Anyone love me like you) by singer Toc Tien, while the album ‘Chat with Mozart II’ by My Linh won the ‘Best Album of the Year’ award.
The awards for ‘New Artist of the Year’ and ‘Producer of the Year’ were given to musician and singer Bui Lan Huong and young musician Tien Cookie, respectively.
The music video titled ‘Bua yeu’ (Philtre), which was composed by Tien Cookie, Pham Thanh Ha and Duong K and performed by Bich Phuong, won the ‘Best Music Video’ award.

The ‘Music series of the Year’ and ‘Programme of the Year’ titles were awarded to singer Ha Anh Tuan’s series ‘See Sing Share’ and programme ‘Romance – A man and the flower on his left chest’.
The winners of the prestigious annual awards were chosen by nearly 100 art and culture reporters and journalists from across the country.
The annual awards were launched by the Vietnam News Agency’s Sport and Culture newspaper.

For the past two centuries, Dao Xa village in Dong Lo commune, Ung Hoa district, Hanoi, has gained prestige for its traditional craft of making musical instruments. The preservation and promotion of the craft have been significantly contributed to by craftsman Dao Van Soan, who is known as the most genius instrumentalist in Hanoi for his talent and passion for the craft.
