31 communes benefits from sanitation and clean water programme
The programme is targeted to mobilize people to implement environmental hygiene, use clean water, improve their sanitation behavior, wash hands with soap and provide consultancy and support to build standard toilets while evaluating quality of living water at the medial stations and schools in the beneficiary communes.

By the end of 2019, these 31 communes will strive to have at least 70 percent of the households equipped with standard toilets, 80 percent of them having handwashing facilities with soap, 20 out of 31 communes supported with clean water supply system and handwashing facilities with soap at local schools and medical stations.
The estimated fund for implementation of the programme in 2019 is 2.61 billion VND (112,767 USD) with loan from the World Bank including 2.26 billion VND (97,645 USD) to build toilets for the poor and nearly poor households and policy beneficiary families in 6 districts of Tan Yen, Yen The, Hiep Hoa, Yen Dung, Viet Yen and Lang Giang.
