3.2 million USD donated to Bac Giang province for Covid-19 fight
The PPC Secretary expressed sincere thanks to the officials and soldiers at the Military Zone 1 in particular and Ministry of National Defence in general for their support to the province in both human resources and vehicles. In the morning of May 19, the Ministry of National Defence established field hospital No.2 in the province to reduce the workload for patient treatment facilities.

Lieutenant General Duong Dinh Thong shared with the difficulties Bac Giang now encounters. He affirmed to accompany and prioritize to assist the province in the struggle against the pandemic. The Lieutenant General urged the provincial Military Command to research and make detail programmes then report to the Military Zone 1 for arranging human resources and vehicles to timely support the province.
In the morning of May 19, the authorities in Luc Ngan district received the cash donated by the provincial Party Committee in the Business Block for disease prevention and control. The provincial Party Committee in the Business Block presented 600 million VND sponsored by 4 companies of Tan Phat Construction and Investment (200 million VND), Hai Long House Construction and Investment (200 million VND), 379 Investment and Trading (100 million VND) and VNPT Bac Giang (100 million VND) for local effort against the pandemic.

At the same day, the provincial FFC received donation for disease prevention from various donors, such as Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (1 billion VND); Dai Phuoc Bac Giang JSC (100 million VND and 70,000 face masks); Ngo Minh Giang, Communication Manager of T&T Group and philanthropists (100 million VND and 20,400 face masks)...
On the occasion, the provincial Labour Federation also appealed the officials, members and labourers to donate more than 1.2 billion VND to support cash, medical supplies and necessities for Covid-19 prevention and control.
Besides, the provincial Red Cross Society and several enterprises assisted the task of disease prevention in Viet Yen district with total value of over 260 million VND.
As of 5pm on May 19, the FFC in the province, districts and city received 73.8 billion VND (3.2 million USD) in cash and kind from various sources.
