As the encouragement, the provincial People’s Committee mobilized 618 million VND (about 26,200 USD) from the Central budget capital (handed over to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) in 2022) to honor and reward to the owners of recognized OCOP products. This was the first time the province has given bonus to the rated products.

Tan Yen guava of Quyen Phong Agriculture Cooperative is recognized as 4 star OCOP product.

By the end of 2022, the province had 205 OCOP products at least with three star title, including 31 products rated as four star and remaining were three star products.

The province targets to have at least 310 OCOP products (three star title and higher) or 30 – 35 recognized products per year by 2025 in which 1 or two products are rated as 5 star at national level.

To realize the goal, the DARD consults the provincial People’s Committee to submit to the provincial People’s Council issuing the support policies for OCOP implementation in the province in 2023 – 2026 period which specifies bonus rate for recognized products as the encouragement.

(BGO) – To enhance quality and value of farm produce in associated with developing products under One Commune One Product programme (OCOP), the Standing Committee of the Party Committee in Bac Giang province (PPC) assigned the provincial Farmers’ Association (PFA) to implement the project “The PFA at all levels play core role in agriculture production  toward cooperation, linkage in value chain and improvement of OCOP products in 2022 – 2025 period” (Project) in early 2022. 

Promoting brand of Ven village OCOP tourism product

(BGO) - In the first round of OCOP product evaluation and classification in 2022, the Ven village eco-cultural tourism product of Than Truong Cooperative in Yen The district, Bac Giang province was rated three stars, becoming the first community-based tourism product with star rating. This information not only brings joy to cooperative members but also opens up opportunities to increase income for locals.

Eight Bac Giang OCOP products recognized 4 star rating in first period of 2022
