Bac Giang receives 4 SAR-CoV-2 automated extractors sponsored by enterprises

(BGO)- The provincial People’s Committee of Bac Giang province on 4 February received 4 testing devices sponsored by some enterprises and handed over to the health sector for the Covid-19 prevention and control in the province. The event was attended by permanent Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Mai Son.

4 automated extractors valued at 2.8 billion VND (122,271 USD), 700 million VND (30,567 USD) per each were presented to the province by Luxshare-ICT Company Limited, Vina Solar Technology Company Limited, Fukang Technology Company Limited and JA Solar Vietnam Company Limited.

Speaking at the event, the provincial Permanent Vice Chairman expressed his thanks and high appreciation for the timely support of the enterprises to join hands with Bac Giang province in the fight against Covid-19.

This is a meaningful and practical deed amid complicated developments of Covid-19 when the testing progress for SAR-CoV-2 detection in the province remains slow due to lack of testing devices.

Besides, he requested the enterprises to well implement the pandemic prevention and control at their companies to ensure health of the employees.

Each SAR-CoV-2 automated extractor is able to test 32 samples within 30 minutes, tripling the capacity and speed of the current devices used at the provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC). Currently, CDC owns 5 automated extractors for Covid-19 prevention and control.
