Bac Giang strives to secure top position nationwide in economic growth in last 6 months
Despite numerous challenges facing the province in June and the first 6 months due to Covid-19 outbreak, it has gained positive results in reaching socio-economic development targets. The GRDP growth rate in the first 6 months reached 24 percent, the highest ever and leading the nation.

The agricultural production is stable while trade and service sectors have been recovered. The total budget revenue is estimated at 9.386 trillion VND (402 million USD), equivalent to 65.8 percent of the target, up over 23 percent against the same period last year.
In his conclusion, PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong stressed, the socio-economic situation of the province in the first 6 months remained some shortcomings apart from the gained results.
In order to boost socio-economic sustainable development in the province, he urged the localities, departments and authorities to highly focus on the 2 key tasks.

Particularly, it is necessary to continue bettering the fight against Covid-19 and boost administering vaccination especially the additional doses because the pandemic is possible to re-occur in the locality.
Besides, the provincial Chairman directed to accelerate the solutions for economic recovery to boost the province’s economic development in rapid and sustainable manner securing the top position nationwide in economic growth rate to create momentum for coming years.
To reach the set targets, the localities and related agencies need to pay due attention to land clearance especially in the industrial park projects to provide land for investment attraction.

Besides, it is necessary to remove obstacles in industrial park infrastructure, implement the provincial master plan and stimulate comprehensive development in industrial, agricultural, service and socio-cultural sectors.
The PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong urged the related agencies to seek solutions to handle the shortage of medical materials, accelerate disbursement of public investment, deal with letters of complaint and denunciation and consider compensation unit prices for land clearance of the projects in accordance with appropriate procedures.
