This year event drew more than 1,000 athletes and coaches from 59 delegations across the nation to vie for 141 sets of medals at several contents of running, jumping and throwing in 4 age groups of U20, U18, U16 and U14. Besides, they competed at 30 relay events for male and female.

Athlete Son Tien Phat (podium No.1) is awarded with gold medal at the event.

The event aims to boost up the athletics practising movement among the youth, teenagers and students as well as help select talented faces to the national youth team.

12 athletes from Bac Giang province joined the championships this year. With good physical strength and carefully practice, athlete Son Tien Phat showed excellent manner to win 2 gold medals at men’s 1,500m and 3,000m race as well as another gold medal together with his teammate at mixed relay contents of 1,200m + 4,000m + 8,000m + 1,600m.

Additionally, Bac Giang team bagged 3 silvers and 2 bronze medals more.
