100,000 VND per person is the lowest bonus given by a private enterprise. The average bonus for Giap Thin New Year is 6.68 million VND/person, an increase of 17.46 percent compared to the previous year.

Regarding the 2024 New Year bonus, among 172 businesses employing 155,851 labourers with bonus plan, the average rate is 290,000 VND per person, an increase of 13.7 percent compared to 2023. The highest bonus is 52.25 million VND per person in private enterprise sector while the lowest bonus is 100,000 VND per person.

According to reports of 348 enterprises employing nearly 262,000 workers in the province, the average monthly salary in 2023 hits nearly 7.7 million VND per, up 2.9 percent compared to last year figure. The highest salary reaches 149 million VND per person per month in foreign-invested enterprises.

Amid many difficulties due to the world economic downturn, many businesses in the province have proactively sought new orders, exerted efforts to restore operations and expand production.

Since August this year, due to the need of production acceleration to ensure delivery time for partners, a number of large enterprises have "relaxed" recruitment conditions, ensured income and other benefits to encourage employees for long-term employment. Thanks to that, this year's average salary and Tet bonus for employees increase compared to last year.
