Bac Ninh will prioritize investment in synchronized multimodal logistics infrastructure linked to strategic transport projects, including Gia Binh International Airport, international railway routes, inland waterway ports, Ring Roads 4 and 5 and the expressway network.
By 2030, the province targets logistics services contributing 4-5% of its gross regional domestic product (GRDP), with annual growth of 12-15%.
Outsourcing of logistics services is expected to reach 50-55%, mainly in the electronics and supporting industries, while logistics costs are projected to fall to 16-18% of GRDP.
Authorities plan to complete a network of logistics centers and inland container depots (ICDs), prioritizing major projects in Vo Cuong Ward and Tam Da Commune, along with Sen Ho ICD and Tan Chi ICD. Bac Giang International Logistics Center will also be developed into a modern hub serving cross-border trade with China.
The province will expand multimodal transport by leveraging its five major rivers, which span around 405 km and include 52 planned inland ports, while strengthening links between road, waterway, rail and air transport to shorten delivery times and reduce logistics costs.
As part of its digital transformation strategy, Bac Ninh aims for 60% of e-commerce businesses to use e-logistics services by 2030.
The province will promote the use of technologies such as the Internet of Things, big data and blockchain in supply chain management, while developing fulfillment centers serving domestic and cross-border e-commerce markets.
Bac Ninh also plans to attract leading domestic and foreign logistics groups to establish operational and logistics centers in the province, support local firms in upgrading management technologies and logistics startups, and train a high-quality workforce for digital supply chain management and e-logistics services in line with international standards.
