The event was attended by member of the municipal Party Committee’s Standing Board and Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee (MPC) Pham Van Thinh, leaders of the Industry Agency (under the Ministry of Industry and Trade), Bac Ninh Department of Industry and Trade, Samsung Vietnam, representatives of some departments, agencies and business association of the city, the Industry and Trade departments of Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Phu Tho and enterprises participating in the 2 projects.

These 2 projects were launched on 7 May 2026 to support 16 businesses in northern Vietnam including 10 companies participating in the smart factory project and 6 others engaged in the smart mold consulting project.

Particularly, 9 firms from Bac Ninh have been supported with a focus on standardizing operational procedures, improving production activities and applying technology and data in management.

Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Department of Industry and Samsung Vietnam present certificates of project completion to several businesses in northern Vietnam.

The smart factory development project is aimed to improve production management capacity through standardized operational procedures, maximized resources and developing a digital transformation platform tailored to the practical conditions of each enterprise.

Cha Ji Ho, Samsung Vietnam's Deputy General Director in charge of the procurement center said the smart factory development project was a cooperative initiative between Samsung and Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade aimed at enhancing the production and management capacities as well as digital transformation of supporting industry enterprises.

Since 2022, the project has provided consultation to 96 enterprises and trained over 240 experts in smart factory sector. In 2026, Samsung continued expanding supporting activities through piloting the smart mold consulting project.

Through these projects, Samsung expected to transfer administration experience and advanced methods to help Vietnamese businesses improve their production capacity and further participate in the supply chain.

After listening to the opinions voiced at the conference, MPC Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh expressed his thanks to Samsung Vietnam for their attention and assistance via the smart factory development and smart mold consulting projects, which help to develop Bac Ninh’s business community growing in business size, production capacity and business mindset.

He hoped that Samsung Vietnam will continue to send experts to provide consultation and support for Bac Ninh’s businesses to foster smart factory development.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade was expected to pay more attention and help the city in development of supporting industries, technology transfer and enhancement of business capacity.

Delegates visit Autotech Vietnam Machinery Manufacturing JSC, a leading participant in the smart factory project.

The Bac Ninh Department of Industry and Trade was urged to review actual needs and coordinate with relevant agencies to propose appropriate support measures and expand smart manufacturing models.

The business community should promote the gained results of the 2 projects, proactively renew production procedures and raise difficulties and obstacles for timely support by competent agencies.

Before the conference, the delegates visited Autotech Vietnam Manufacturing Joint Stock Company, the typical enterprise participating in the project, in VSIP industrial park, Dai Dong commune.
