The 220 kV Bac Giang–Lang Son transmission line has a total length of 101.7 km, running from the existing 220 kV Bac Giang substation to the newly built 220 kV Lang Son substation.
The project also includes the installation of an additional 220 kV bay at the Bac Giang substation, along with control, protection, telecommunications, SCADA systems, grounding and lightning protection in line with current regulations.
The section passing through Bac Ninh province spans about 21.6 km with 55 tower foundation positions across several communes. Construction of the project began on December 10, 2017.
The commissioning of the project is expected to enhance power supply for Bac Ninh, Lang Son and surrounding areas, particularly during peak summer demand, thereby supporting local socio-economic development.
