Dabaco inaugurates phase 2 vegetable oil plant in Bac Ninh

Updated: 15:03, 23/03/2026

BAC NINH – Dabaco Vietnam Group on March 21 inaugurated the second phase of its vegetable oil plant at Tan Chi Industrial Cluster, boosting capacity to 1,000 tonnes per day.

The project, launched in January 2024 with an investment of 1.8 trillion VND dong (68 million USD), doubles the plant’s initial capacity and raises total output to 1,500 tonnes of oilseed per day. Total investment across both phases exceeds 3 trillion VND.

Delegates perform the ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate Phase 2 of the vegetable oil plant.

Once fully operational, the facility is expected to produce more than 100 million litres of refined cooking oil annually, along with 400,000 tonnes of soybean meal and 5,500 tonnes of lecithin, key inputs for the animal feed industry.

The output is aimed at reducing reliance on imports, securing domestic supply and improving product quality.

Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Thanh presents flowers to congratulate Dabaco Vietnam Group.

The plant applies advanced “Zero Influence” extraction technology and nano refining solutions developed by Desmet, designed to optimise product quality while reducing environmental impact.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Ministry Phung Duc Tien and Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh provincial People’s Committee Dao Quang Khai said the project marked a step forward in building a closed-loop agricultural value chain, enhancing the group’s position and supporting the province’s processing industry.

Chairman of the provincial People's Council Nguyen Viet Oanh awards the title of “Outstanding Labor Collective” to two collectives.

Authorities called on Dabaco to ensure safe and efficient operations, invest in high-quality human resources to master modern technologies, and expand product lines and export markets.

The company was also urged to comply strictly with environmental regulations and move towards green and circular economic models.

Delegates toure the factory’s production line.

At the ceremony, Bac Ninh authorities awarded “Outstanding Labour Collective 2025” titles to two units and certificates of merit to five individuals from the group.
