Bac Ninh to sell over 800 social housing units
BAC NINH - The Bac Ninh Department of Construction has announced the sale and rental prices for the EcoHome Song Thuong social housing project, located in the southern urban area of the former Bac Giang City (current Bac Giang ward). The project is developed by Capital House (Thudo Investment and Trading Joint Stock Company).
Launched in April, the project has a total investment of 1.145 trillion VND (50 million USD) and will supply 1,032 apartments - 827 for sale and 205 for rent - ranging from 32 to 63 square meters.

Sale prices are set at more than 18.9 million VND per square meter, including VAT but excluding maintenance fees. Buyers will pay from 604 million VND to nearly 1.2 billion VND per unit. Rental prices average over 125,000 VND per square meter, or between 4 million VND and 7.9 million VND per month depending on size.
This makes EcoHome Song Thuong the most expensive social housing project in Bac Ninh so far. Previous developments in the province were priced between 15 million VND and 18 million VND per square meter.
For example, more than 900 apartments in the Que Vo New Urban Area were sold at 18.8 million VND per square meter, while over 600 units in Nenh ward by the Evergreen Bac Giang consortium were offered at 16.8 million VND per square meter, or from about 470 million VND per apartment.
According to the provincial construction department, over 800 units at EcoHome Song Thuong are now eligible for sale, with handover expected in the second quarter of next year.
Bac Ninh has reported strong progress in social housing development. Since early this year, the province has completed over 12,600 units, reaching nearly 80% of its 2025 target of around 15,920 units.
Three additional projects are under way, expected to add 3,600 more homes by year-end. Bac Ninh aims to build 20,000 social housing units by 2026, up more than 11% from its previous goal.
