Updated: 17:18, 19/08/2025

BAC NINH – Authorities in Bac Ninh province on August 19 inaugurated two new residential towers under the Que Vo Hillview social housing project, part of nationwide celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day on Sept. 2.

The ceremony, organized by Song Hong Real Estate Company in coordination with the provincial Department of Construction, was connected online with 80 other sites across the country.

The provincial leaders present flowers to congratulate the project’s investor.

The Que Vo Hillview development is one of 14 housing projects selected for groundbreaking or inauguration on this occasion.

Among those attending were senior provincial leaders, including Tran Thi Hang, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council; Ngo Tan Phuong, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee (PPC); Tran Thi Van, Deputy Head of the province’s National Assembly delegation; and Susilo Gani Tandjung, General Director of Song Hong Real Estate Management Co., the project’s Singaporean investor.

The Hillview project began as a worker housing complex in the Que Vo industrial park in 2012. In 2016, Song Hong expanded it into a dedicated social housing scheme with six planned towers.

Four towers were completed earlier, including Tower T3 in 2018. The final two buildings, T1 and T2, mark the project’s completion.

Covering 1.6 hectares with a total floor area of 57,000 square meters, the development comprises 638 apartments. The two new towers add 258 units with a combined investment of about 212 billion VND (9.3 million USD), part of the project’s total 403 billion VND budget.

The complex can house more than 3,000 residents. Construction was carried out by Licogi 13 FC, a Hanoi-based contractor, and completed on schedule after one year.

The new towers offer two- and three-bedroom apartments ranging from 41 to 70 square meters, along with amenities such as a kindergarten, community rooms, playgrounds, fitness areas and landscaped pedestrian streets between the buildings.

At the inauguration, PPC Vice Chairman Ngo Tan Phuong praised the investor, contractors and local authorities for overcoming difficulties to complete the project on time and to quality standards.

He stressed that social housing is a key policy of the Communist Party and government, aimed at improving living conditions for low-income workers and vulnerable groups while ensuring balanced economic and social development.

Bac Ninh, part of the Hanoi metropolitan region and a major hub for electronics and high-tech manufacturing, employs more than 700,000 workers in its industrial parks. The demand for affordable housing is urgent, the provincial leader said.

Under the government’s plan to build at least 1 million social housing units by 2030, Bac Ninh has been assigned to develop around 147,100 apartments. So far, the province has launched 72 projects covering 257 hectares, with Que Vo Hillview among the most important.

Officials said the completion of Towers T1 and T2 not only improves housing options but also contributes to urban renewal and sustainable development. They highlighted strong provincial leadership, the investor’s efforts and local community support as key to the project’s success.

The PPC Vice Chairman called on the investor to ensure effective management and operation of the buildings, while urging provincial departments and localities to continue removing obstacles so that workers can quickly access the housing and benefit from the government’s social housing policies.
