Beach volleyball tour to hit Quang Ninh province

The Tuan Chau-Ha Long Beach Volleyball World Tour 2019 will be held from May 9-12 in the northeastern province of Quang Ninh.
Twenty-eight teams from 13 countries and territories including Austria, Denmark, Japan, Thailand and the US will join hosts Vietnam.

It is a sharp increase of participants compared to last year, which involved 18 teams.
A Japanese team won the title in 2018 along with a prize of 20,000 USD.
The tour is an annual event held by the provincial sports department and the National Sports Administration.
All matches will be aired live on VTV6.
Vietnam national women’s volleyball team gained the fifth place at the sixth Asian Volleyball Confederation Cup for Women after trouncing the Republic of Korea (RoK) 3-0 at Chartchai Hall, Thailand on September 23.
An international volleyball tournament, Vinh Long Television Cup, will take place at Vinh Long Province’s Gymnasium from September 28 to October 3.

The Vietnamese national team beat the Democratic People's Republic of Korea 3-1 in the final match on August 11 to seal the championship title of the VTV International Women's Volleyball Cup 2018.
The VTV International Women’s Volleyball Cup 2018 will take place in the central province of Ha Tinh from August 4 to 11, with the participation of eight teams, including six international clubs, the Vietnam national team, and Vietnam’s youth team.
