After six hours traveling from Ho Chi Minh City by car, Bui Minh Quan’s family and friends reached Ta Dung National Park in Dak Nong Province, where they set up camp on a flat area.

Given its islands, the lake is called "a miniature Ha Long Bay in Central Highlands". Ha Long Bay is a UNESCO heritage site in the northern province of Quang Ninh.

Ta Dung Lake is part of the UNESCO-recognized Dak Nong geopark. The 4,760 sq.km geopark is located in the districts of Krong No, Cu Jut, Dak Mil, Dak Song, and Dak G'long along the Krong No River.

The camping site beside the lake boasts a peaceful atmosphere, complete with fresh breezes and beautiful sunsets.

Quan, with his passion for camping, has traveled to many places with his family and friends. He usually takes his children camping to immerse them in nature after a stressful bout of studying.

"Ta Dung is one of the most beautiful sights my family has visited," he said.

A large tarpaulin helps prevent rain from ruining the experience.

Strung up lights help create a cozy outdoor atmosphere.

Adults in the group teach their children to preserve nature by cleaning up after themselves.

Vo Thi Hoai Huong, a member of the camping group, said: "I was greatly saddened by the huge amount of trash we encountered on our trips. Nature is not a hotel with dedicated cleaners. I hope all travel enthusiasts would gain a better awareness of keeping nature clean."
