Bac Ninh pays attention to building linkage chains, applying technology in agro-product processing and preservation
BAC NINH- Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Vuong Quoc Tuan on October 30 paid a working visit to some agricultural product processing companies in the province.
The delegation visited Global Food Export and Import Joint Stock Company (in Phuong Son ward) and Vifoco Import and Export Joint Stock Company (in Tien Phong ward). These companies specialize in processing, preserving and trading farm produce.

PPC Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan highly evaluated great efforts of the companies after grasping their situation.
The PPC Chairman stressed the province defined building international trademark and value of lychee as a key task in development of high-tech agriculture.
The province will restructure the concentrated lychee growing area and expand the safe production zones by applying high technologies while studying to extend the harvest time and develop off-season lychee.
Besides, it will promote research in intensive processing as well as diversifying lychee products to increase added values and international competitiveness.
He affirmed that the province will provide maximum support for scientific and technological research funding, especially for projects applying technology in processing and post-harvest preservation.

Besides, the province will develop specific support policies for large-scale agricultural processing enterprises, encouraging investment in concentrated raw material areas associated with sustainable linkage chains.
The departments and agencies were urged to evaluate the appropriateness of existing support policies for agricultural development to give advice on adjustment to encourage innovation and digital transformation in agricultural sector and origin traceability of farm products.
The provincial master plan should include lychee growing areas associated with eco-agricultural tourism development to form a dual value chain both producing products and promoting the local image.
PPC Chairman Vuong Quoc Tuan added the province is committed to accompanying, removing obstacles and creating all favourable conditions for businesses, farmers and scientists to join hands in developing the lychee trademark as a symbol of Bac Ninh agriculture in international market.
