Chinese traders flock to Bac Giang to buy lychee

(BGO) – The Luc Ngan lychee price has risen up considerably right after the Economic Forum on production and consumption of lychee and key agriculture produces in the northern province of Bac Giang.

Particularly, the price fluctuated at 10,000 – 27,000 VND (0.44 – 1.18 USD) per kilogram depending on each class of the fruit on June 11, up 7,000 VND (0.3 USD) per kilogram comparing to the previous day.

To date, 253 lychee weighing points have been set up while hundreds of small carriages are gathering along the roads, mostly in Kim street, Phuong Son commune; Chu town; Kep street, Hong Giang commune and communal centers in the district. Of which, 77 Chinese traders have hired the weighing points to buy the lychee.

Currently, Luc Ngan district has estimated to harvest over 11,000 tonnes of the fruits. It is reported to basically secure the local transport safety, public order as well as avoid prolong traffic jam.
