Deputy PM Pham Gia Tuc checks progress of Gia Binh International Airport project
BAC NINH- The Government’s delegation led by member of the Politburo and permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc on May 20 inspected implementation progress of the Gia Binh International Airport and related projects including the route linking the airport with Hanoi and the Ring Road No. 4 project in the Hanoi Capital Region (the section passing through Bac Ninh province).
From Bac Ninh province, member of the Central Party Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Thai, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Pham Hoang Son, Vice Chairpersons of the provincial People’s Committee Pham Van Thinh and Ngo Tan Phuong and leaders of related departments, agencies and businesses attended the working session.

According to the report, the site clearance has gained important results. Particularly, related communes completed public disclosure of compensation and support plans as well as payment to residents.
Besides, several supporting policies have been issued to ensure residents’ legitimate rights, temporary accommodation, learning conditions for students and early allocation of resettlement land.

Other key projects such as the direct connection route to Gia Binh International Airport (BT1), resettlement zones, the route linking Gia Binh Airport with Hanoi and the Ring Road No4 project in the Hanoi Capital Region (the section passing through Bac Ninh province) are being accelerated.
At the meeting, Bac Ninh province requested Prime Minister, ministries and central agencies to continue paying attention to, supporting and directing the locality to timely resolve obstacles to implement the projects on schedule.

Besides, the investors were urged to speed up infrastructure construction progress of the resettlement zones for residents to build houses and settle down while allocating sufficient capital and timely paying compensation for citizens.
After the site inspection, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc highly appreciated great efforts of local government and related agencies in implementing the projects.
He stressed Gia Binh International Airport is a national key project requiring strict adherence to construction timelines, particularly as it is expected to be put into operation in time for the 2027 APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting. Several associated projects are also being implemented under special mechanisms to serve major national tasks.

He urged ministers, local authorities and investors to intensify coordination and resolve remaining bottlenecks in site clearance and construction to keep the project on track.
