Moving beyond household-scale operations, the commune has identified a longer-term strategy to strengthen the sector by attracting financially capable enterprises to invest in wood processing.

Since the beginning of the year, the locality has attracted three major companies, Duong Linh Wood Pellet Co. Ltd., Son Dong Wood Processing JSC and Pham Toan One-Member Co. Ltd., with more than 300 billion VND (13 million USD) in registered capital.

Hoang Thi Ninh, Chairwoman of the Duong Huu Commune People’s Committee, said the projects focus on deep processing of forest products and are expected to create jobs for more than 350 local workers.

According to the Resolution of the first Party Congress of Duong Huu Commune for the 2025-2030 term, the commune aims to raise per capita income to 55 million VND per year by 2030, with annual income from the forestry economy exceeding 215 billion VND.

To achieve these goals, the commune will continue to encourage the development of wood-processing facilities while facilitating investment procedures, land access and infrastructure support for businesses.
