FDI Connect 2026 forum opens in Bac Ninh
BAC NINH - The “FDI Connect 2026” forum opened on April 24 at the Kinh Bac Cultural Center in northern Bac Ninh province, under the theme “Toward sustainable global supply chains”.
The event was co-hosted by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Bac Ninh provincial People’s Committee, and drew around 600 delegates, including leaders of the Party and State, ministries, local authorities, foreign-invested enterprises (FDI), Vietnamese firms in supply chains, and more than 40 domestic and international media outlets.

The forum featured three high-level dialogue sessions. The first, titled “Repositioning supply chains – Enhancing internal capacity to attract new capital flows,” focuses on shifts in global supply chains driven by technological competition and investment relocation trends.
The second session, “Infrastructure readiness and regional connectivity in developing high-tech supply chains,” highlights the role of inter-provincial linkages among Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen and Hai Phong in upgrading northern Vietnam’s supply chains.

The third session, “Upgrading Vietnamese enterprises to become Tier-1 suppliers in FDI value chains,” centers on key solutions to strengthen the position of domestic firms in global supply networks.

Organizers expected the dialogues to clarify strategic directions for modern supply chain development, while opening up opportunities for cooperation and attracting high-quality investment to northern Vietnam in the coming period.
Recommendations from the forum will be compiled and submitted to the government to help refine policy frameworks.
