In Song Khe – Noi Hoang IP (Bac Giang city), Dinh Tram IP (Viet Yen district), from the night of May 17, Bac Giang Industrial Park Development Company (BGIPDC) - the investor to these IPs informed on zalo group to nearly 150 businesses who hire the land and lease the factories to stop all production and business activities as the provincial order for Covid-19 prevention and control.

To tighten the management, BGIPDC set up 3 stations at the gate to Dinh Tram IP and 4 stations at Song Khe – Noi Hoang IP. There are 2 to 3 guards and company’s official on duty at the station for 24 hours. The trucks carrying necessary foods for the enterprises are only allowed to pass the main gate of the IP.

At some companies, the workers are not allowed to return to their homeland, so the employers arrange enough food and accommodation. According to Vice Head of the provincial IP Management Board Nguyen Van Quy, in the first day, the enterprises strictly followed the order to stop the production and business. All investors seriously suspended the operation, set up the stations at the IP and arranged staff of duty to control people in and out the area.

There are more than 340 companies with nearly 136,000 workers operating at the IP in the province. The temporary closure of IP is a hard decision. However for the sake of long term benefit and high determination to control over the pandemic, it is necessary to have the joint efforts from the enterprises and labourers.

Amid the actual situation, some companies contacted to philanthropists to receive supported food and necessities, typically SeoJin Vietnam Company called for kind hearted people to donate food for more than 300 workers who are now staying at the company for the next 15 days.
