Cam Son lake is located in 4 communes of Son Hai, Ho Dap, Tan Son and Cam Son in Luc Ngan district.

Situated at an elevation of about 300 meter above the sea level, Cam Son lake is one among the national giant projects for farming irrigation to control and distribute the water for agriculture production in several localities in Bac Giang province and Huu Lung district in Lang Son province.

The huge lake surface with numerous islands of different sizes provide attractive stops for tourists.

The lake covers some 2,650 hectares of surface. In the rainy season, the water rises and enlarges the lake surface up to 3,000 hectares with numerous islands of different sizes.

When the water recedes in the dry season, there are many alluvial grounds surrounding the lake which are used by the locals to cultivate various crops.
