Foreign countries support Vietnam in overcoming consequences of natural disasters
The Dutch Ambassador to Vietnam Elsbeth Akkerman announced the Dutch Government’s decision to provide Vietnam with an aid package worth EUR2 million (VND52 billion) to help the people affected by the flooding in the central provinces.

The bailout will be granted through Dutch organisations and local partners.
* According to the UK Ambassador to Vietnam, the UK donated £500,000 (VND15 billion) to support Vietnamese people in overcoming the consequences and storms and floods.
The aid will be channelled through the International Red Cross Federation, contributing to the arrangement of housings, provision of clean water and food for the locals in flood-hit areas.
According to Vietnamese Embassy in Ukraine, in response to the call of General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong and Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the overseas Vietnamese community in the country have enthusiastically given donations to help flood-hit people in the central provinces.
By the end of October 31, the total raised funds had reached over US$17,000.
* In addition, the Overseas Vietnamese Association in Ulyanovsk City, Russia, have also mobilised the overseas Vietnamese to donate a total of over 160,000 rubles (over US$2,000) to support people in Hoai Ninh Commune, Quang Ninh District, the central province of Quang Binh.
* Meanwhile, the overseas Vietnamese community in Laos has jointly granted donations to help people who were affected by flooding in Savannakhet Province to overcome difficulties.
