At the working session, on behalf of the province's leaders, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Duong Van Thai briefed the delegation on the local socio-economic development over the past time. Despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2020, Bac Giang province still gained many achievements in socio-economic development, with an economic growth rate of 13.02 percent, the highest in the country. People's living conditions improved while political security, social order and safety were guaranteed.

Since the 19th provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 tenure and the success of the 13th National Party Congress, officials, Party members and people of all ethnic groups in the province have been very excited and pinned high hope on the leadership of the Party and State. At this time, the whole province is actively focusing on the preparation for the elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and the People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.

On behalf of the Party Committee, authorities and people in the province, Thai thanked the Party and State leaders, especially former NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and Chief Justice Nguyen Hoa Binh, for their attention to and support for Bac Giang province over the past time.

Speaking at the event, Ngan thanked the province’s Party Committee, authorities and people for the fine sentiments given to her. She wished that the province would continue to uphold the tradition of solidarity to develop itself more comprehensively. In the immediate future, the province should focus on leading the successful organization of the upcoming elections of deputies to the 15th NA and the People's Councils at all levels.
