Goertek Vina sponsors 500 million VND for Bac Ninh educational gameshow
BAC NINH – The electronics manufacturer Goertek Vina Science and Technology Co., Ltd. (Goertek Vina) has pledged 500 million VND (19,000 USD) to sponsor the 2025-2026 season of the educational gameshow “Dat Hoc Kinh Bac,” (Kinh Bac, a land of learning) as part of its efforts to support youth development and education in northern province of Bac Ninh.
The sponsorship ceremony took place on May 9 in the presence of Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh provincial People’s Committee Pham Van Thinh, company executives and provincial officials.

Goertek Vina General Director Jiang Hong Zhai said the company viewed investment in education as an investment in the future, adding that supporting the long-running programme reflected the firm’s commitment to corporate social responsibility.

“We hope to contribute to nurturing a generation of young people in Bac Ninh with knowledge, confidence and aspirations to contribute to society,” Jiang said.
Launched in 2008 by Bac Ninh Newspaper, Radio and Television in coordination with the provincial Department of Education and Training, “Dat Hoc Kinh Bac” has become a well-known intellectual competition for high school students across the province.

The programme aims to preserve and promote the long-standing academic traditions of the Kinh Bac region, widely regarded as one of Vietnam’s historic centers of learning and scholarship.
Through general knowledge contests and interactive activities, the gameshow helps students strengthen academic skills while also developing communication abilities, critical thinking and public confidence.

Nguyen Trung Hien, Director of Bac Ninh Newspaper, Radio and Television, said the programme had evolved into an important educational platform after 18 years of operation.
“It is not only a knowledge competition, but also a place that inspires passion for learning and the determination to pursue knowledge among younger generations,” Hien said.
He added that Goertek Vina’s continued sponsorship had provided important resources for organizers to modernize the show’s format, apply digital production technologies and improve prize values for contestants.
Goertek Vina, a foreign-invested high-tech electronics manufacturer, began operations in Bac Ninh in 2013 and has since expanded into one of the province’s major technology enterprises, employing tens of thousands of workers.
Alongside production and business development, the company has increasingly participated in social welfare and education initiatives, local officials said.

Vice Chairman Pham Van Thinh praised the company’s contributions, saying cooperation from businesses played an important role in mobilizing social resources for education and workforce development.
He said maintaining educational platforms such as “Dat Hoc Kinh Bac” was significant in preserving Bac Ninh’s tradition of academic excellence and encouraging young talent development.
Later the same day, provincial officials and Goertek Vina representatives visited and offered incense at the Chinese martyrs’ cemetery in Tien Luc commune, where 217 Chinese soldiers who supported Vietnam during the war are buried, in a gesture aimed at honoring historical ties and friendship between Vietnam and China.
