Hanoi allows home treatment for mild and asymptomatic Covid-19 patients

Hanoi has allowed home treatment for Covid-19 patients without symptoms and with mild symptoms if they can meet the requirements of the health sector, as heard at a meeting on Covid-19 pandemic prevention held by the municipal Party Committee on November 29.

In addition, medical situation and treatment of patients will be updated regularly on the city’s F0 monitoring software system.

F0s may also be treated at grassroots medical establishments in communes and wards across the city.

As of November 27, 10 districts in Hanoi are ready to receive and provide treatment for Covid-19 patients, including Soc Son, Dong Anh, Long Bien, My Duc, Hoai Duc, Dan Phuong, Phu Xuyen, Thanh Tri, Ba Vi, and Ha Dong.

The city is also surveying households that are eligible for self-quarantine of F1 cases at home. As a result, nearly 779,000 households in 26 districts have been recognised as eligible for self-quarantine of F1s.

Previously, Hanoi announced a plan to provide treatment for about 100,000 Covid-19 patients across four levels of treatment, including city-level hospital, district-level hospital, commune and ward-level medical centres, and at-home treatment.

Hanoi recoded 2,267 new Covid-19 cases on November 21-29 with an average of 284 cases per day.
