Labour exports set new record in 2019
The figure helped the labour industry reach the finish line one year earlier than in its five-year plan for 2016-2020.
This is the fifth consecutive year in which labour exports have exceeded 115,000 since 2015.

After four years, Vietnam has sent over 550,000 workers abroad, up 10%.
Japan continued to maintain the largest recipient of Vietnamese workers, followed by Chinese Taipei and the Republic of Korea (RoK).
According to Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Le Tan Dung, the labour sector has made efforts to maintain and develop the overseas labour market. Many new and potential markets in Asia have been expanded.
The quality of the programmes sending laborers to work abroad under contracts have been improved, attracting more highly skilled workers.
The number of workers to markets with high income, such as Japan and the RoK, has been continuously increased.
Workers were very interested in many labour migration programmes, including the licensing for foreign workers of the RoK (EPS program), technical internships in Japan (IM Japan Programme), sending Vietnamese nurses to work in Germany.
