National tourism data platform ‘Visit Viet Nam’ unveiled

Updated: 17:21, 18/08/2025

The national tourism data platform named Visit Viet Nam has recently been unveiled by the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT), National Data Association (NDA), and Sun Group, marking a strategic advancement in the digital transformation of the tourism sector.

Visit Viet Nam integrates diverse information about destinations, service reviews, and booking tools, helping tourists easily search, plan, and use services through the AI Travel Assistant.

The platform stands out by applying blockchain technology and tokenization security on NDAchain.vn, ensuring data reliability, transparency, and security.

Speaking at the conference on tourism data in digital economic development on August 15, VNAT Director Nguyen Trung Khanh, said that digital technology, along with a clean, live, sufficient, and unified national tourism data ecosystem, would be key to driving breakthroughs, sustaining high growth, ensuring effective management, and improving tourism service quality.

Meanwhile, NDA Secretary-General, Major Dao Duc Trieu, affirmed that the launch of the Visit Viet Nam tourism data platform is an important step towards establishing a comprehensive tourism data ecosystem, promoting the digital economy, and smart, sustainable tourism for Viet Nam.

This application addresses the current fragmentation and lack of connectivity in tourism data, supports businesses to enhance personalised product design, and assists management agencies in policy-making based on real-time data.

According to the development roadmap, Visit Viet Nam will be released with the debut of the National Tourism Dashboard version 1.0 in October 2025 and is expected to officially go public in the second quarter of 2026, featuring blockchain-verified reviews and trip planning support.

The long-term vision is to become a comprehensive “super app” for tourism, integrating multi-modal services, and advancing Viet Nam’s tourism to the world.
