Nearly 98 billion VND invested in upgrading and expanding frontage road in Bac Giang city

(BGO) – Nearly 98 billion VND (4.24 million USD) from Bac Giang provincial budget is invested in the project to upgrade and expand the frontage road on the left of national road no.1 from the intersection of national road no.31 to the intersection of Hung Vuong street (Bac Giang city). 

According to the provincial transport construction investment project Management Board (PMB), the project to upgrade and expand the frontage road on the left of national road no.1 from the intersection of national road no.31 to the intersection of Hung Vuong street as well as revamp the intersection of Hung Vuong street has been implemented as schedule.

The current frontage road on the left of national road no.1 from the intersection of national road no.31 to the intersection of Hung Vuong street (Bac Giang city) is now degraded, small and narrow that fails to meet the traffic demand.

The revamp work will add a service road separating from national road no.1 (Hanoi – Bac Giang) to enter Bac Giang city which stretches nearly 432 meters with road and connection bridge to the existing overpass of national road no.1. The route linking provincial road no. 293 to national road no.1 features two lanes for motor vehicles.

The branch road from Bac Giang city center to national road no.1 to Hanoi is revamped to expand the surface to add one more lane for motor vehicles, drainage and lighting systems, change the power system to underground, safe traffic system...

The site clearance method for first period was approved while the method for second period is submitted for verification to have plane for construction.

The PMB is expediting the construction contractor to implement excavation work of the frontage road from the section Km116+900 to Km117+200 as well as other tasks. The project is expected to be completed in 2021 to put in use.
