Bac Giang synchronously builds traffic infrastructure in industrial parks to facilitate investors and workers

(BGO) – Several investors to Bac  Giang province, especially at the industrial parks (IPs) are concerned about the disqualified traffic situation. The local authority has focused on implementing various drastic solutions to handle the issue, hence facilitating the investors and workers. 

In a recent meeting with the provincial leader, representative of Luxshare-ICT Vietnam Company Limited said the enterprise has invested in 2 project to manufacture and fabricate the electronic equipment and components at Quang Chau and Van Trung IPs (Viet Yen district) with total investment of 270 million USD that draw about 30,000 labours.

The expansion project for the frontage of Hanoi – Bac Giang Expressway is under construction to ease the traffic congestion at the IPs.

In both projects, the enterprise encountered the same obstacle of regular traffic jam at the IPs. It is really hard for the workers and vehicles to enter and leave the companies at the peak hour, causing impact on the working time, transport of commodities and products. This is a shared problem to several firms.

According to the Department of Transport (DoT), after receiving the instruction from the provincial People’s Committee about ensuring the traffic safety at the IPs of Dinh Tram, Van Trung, Quang Chau, Song Khe – Noi Hoang, DoT has implemented several methods at the same time and erected the median strip to prevent the vehicles turning on the national road No 37 at the first end of Dinh Tram overpass with the target to complete before August 31, 2020.

In August, the DoT chaired and coordinated with the provincial Public Security, Management Board of IPs in the province, districts and city to erect the traffic signs of no entry to prohibit the truck entering the frontage roads from the intersection of national road No.37 to intersection of national road No17 in Van Trung IP as well as the section from Km70+00 to Km72+00 of national road No 37 at the peak hours.

Also, the DoT consulted the provincial People’s Committee to submit document to the Ministry of Transport to reopen the temporary connection point of the gate no 2 of Van Trung IP with Hanoi – Bac Giang expressway at Km124+400 when the frontage road expansion has yet to be completed.

The DoT joined hands with the Management Board of provincial IPs to instruct and organize the traffic activities inside the IPs so as to be suitable to the actual road status; adjust the passenger transport routes after handing over the major route of belt road no 4 in Bac Giang province; add the plan and investment in construction of car keeping stations, stop points, instruction signs, waiting places...

Particularly, to handle the disorder in worker picking up activities, the DoT will promptly build the projects of passenger transport and worker pick-up; enhance the management over worker pick-up activities...

A civilian overpass is newly constructed to help ensure the traffic safety on the Hanoi – Bac Giang Expressway.

At the same time, due investment has been mobilized to implement the solution for completing the road infrastructure system in the IPs while accelerating the completion progress of several projects of building the overpass of national road no 1, linkage road from national road no 17 to national road no 37 passing Viet Yen and Yen Dung districts.

According to Tran Xuan Dong, Director of the provincial Management Board of Transport Construction and Investment Projects (PMB), the PMB is executing the project to upgrade and expand the frontage on the right of Hanoi – Bac Giang Expressway from the overpass of national road no 37 to overpass of national road no 17 which will be commenced in October 2020. After expansion, the frontage road can significantly recover the current congestion.

The Management Board of provincial IPs and Public Security are in charge of communicating, popularizing the road law to the workers and labourers in the IPs; making suitable adjustment of working time as well as arrangement of operating vehicles to avoid the peak hours.
