On a last day of August, Tue fell off his bicycle and hit the concrete road. Consequently, he suffers from traumatic brain injury, maxillofacial injury and damage of both lungs.

Though Tue has been provided with intensive care and treatment with brain surgery (to take the brain tissue to culture and transplant individually in later period), he is now unconscious with weak breath and critical condition.

Nguyen Van Tue is under treatment at Vietnam – German Hospital.

His father namely Nguyen Duy Thuong sadly shared: “The doctor said that a normal person will hurt so much with only one injury like my son. But Tue has to suffer from 3 serious injuries that must be treated for long time. We are so worry because Tue is infected so doctors prescribe to use many strong kinds of antibiotic drugs, intensive care with active nutrition and solution compensation…The treatment cost is accordingly very expensive”.

According to Head of Than Chuc village Nguyen Van Chuc, Tue’s family is very difficult. There are 6 members in the family inlcluding Tue’s 80 year old grandmother, Tue and two children studying at grade 7 and 5. His parent mostly rely on farm work. His father sometimes works as the construction supporter with low income.

Few years ago, the family got the support from the relatives to build a new house. The house frame was finished for years but they still do not have money to complete it. Since the accident day, the relatives and local authority have actively donated to support Tue. However, it is too little to the cost.

After intensive treatment and care, now Tue is till in critical condition.

Tue is a good student with excellent academic result and emotional life. He has been recognized as excellent student since the first grade. As the oldest child in the family, Tue always loves and cares for his younger sisters. Even in the school off day, Tue joined the work with his father to earn more money to pay for school fee and buy books for three children.

Under current critical condition, Tue must have long treatment with several surgeries. The hospital cost is the most concern issue now because his parent has nothing to rely on. His family truly needs the sharing and support from community in order to increase his chance of recovery to continue the school dream.
