Over 1,000 Vietnamese nurses received training and work in Germany

By the end of 2019, more than 1,000 Vietnamese nurses received training and worked in Germany while being greatly appreciated by the German side, according to the Department of Overseas Labour under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

As Germany is facing rapid population aging, its government set the target of training and recruiting 8,000 – 13,000 nurses between now and 2021 at home or those from abroad, including Vietnam.

The new Immigration Law which will officially be put into effect from March 1, 2020, will allow German businesses to accept workers from countries outside the European Union (EU) in afew particular fields including: construction, electricity, mechanics, agriculture, medical and nursing staff.

It is expected that in 2020, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs will reach an agreement with the Federal Employment Agency of Germany on sending skilled workers from Vietnam to work in 12-13 sectors in Germany.

2019 was the fourth year Vietnam had more than 120,000 workers applying theirtrades overseas. Currently, there are 650,000 Vietnamese workers in more than 40 countries and territories in 30 different areas.

As many as 134,482 of the 147,387 Vietnamese workers who went abroad in 2019 were hired in Japan and Taiwan, official statistics show.
Bac Giang: Average Tet bonus to laborers up 32.2 percent
(BGO) – According to the statistic of the Department of Labour – Invalids and Social Affairs (DoLISA), 129 out of 134 enterprises in Bac Giang province who submitted report of salary and bonus to  DoLISA planned to give a bonus on the 2020 Lunar New Year.

(BGO) – To welcome the upcoming 2020 Lunar New Year (the Year of the Mouse), the leader board of Vietnam JCM Company Limited in Hong Thai commune, Viet Yen district (Bac Giang province) decided to spend over 4 billion VND (over 172,500 USD) to give Tet bonus to the laborers.

(BGO) – The Labor Federation in the northern province of Bac Giang has implemented the Plan to organize the activities to care for the trade unionists, workers, public servants and labors on the 2020 Lunar New Year (Year of the Mouse).  
Close and synchronous control over labor export
(BGO) – Bac Giang has been recently a top leading locality among the Northern mountainous provinces in the number of labors exported. However, there arise many issues relating to the governmental control over the labor export.
