Participating household groups have proactively developed long-term forest management plans, implemented harvesting in line with approved schedules, carried out reforestation in compliance with regulations, and placed greater emphasis on environmental protection and biodiversity conservation.
Bac Ninh currently has about 174,690 hectares of forest and non-forested land designated for forestry, with total timber reserves exceeding 14.78 million cubic meters. Of this, natural forests account for more than 4.76 million cubic meters, while planted forests make up over 10 million cubic meters.
The certification of sustainable forest management is seen as a key step in improving forest protection and development efficiency, while promoting a more modern and environmentally responsible forestry sector.
