Phu Lang commune currently has over 200 pottery making households, 80 of which are in Phu Lang village, according to Nguyen Thi Tinh, head of Phu Lang village.

In line with efforts of pottery makers, Phu Lang village has been assisted by the provincial People’s Committee and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to implement a number of conservation projects.

“This craft village not only has Gom Ngoc brand, but each household has their own brand such as Minh Tam Ceramic Cooperative and Phu Lang Ceramic Service and Tourism Cooperative. All of them strive for the common goal of developing Phu Lang Ceramic trademark”, Tinh added.
