Promptly remove obstacles, strive to fulfill highest socio-economic targets: Bac Giang PPC Chairman
BAC GIANG - The provincial People’s Committee of Bac Giang province (PPC) held the monthly conference on August 26, which was hosted by PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong.
According to the PPC’s report, the province reaped many important socio-economic results in the first 8 months despite facing numerous difficulties and challenges. Particularly, the industrial production value (current price) reached some 438 trillion VND (17.5 billion USD) in 8 months, a surge of 28.7 percent against the same period and equivalent to 65.9 percent of the year plan.

The domestic budget revenue totaled 10.8 trillion VND (432.2 million USD), up 23 percent, equal to 61.2 percent of the year estimation. The people’s living has been stabilized and improved when national defense, security and social order have been secured.
Concluding the conference, PPC Chairman Le Anh Duong urged the departments, agencies and localities to highly concentrate on reviewing and implementing the measures to reach the highest socio-economic targets in 2024.
He ordered to reinforce resources to meet the drafting progress and promptly submit the drafts to the competent authorities for issuance of the detailed regulations pursuant to the new laws, decrees and resolutions for effective application.
He asked related departments, agencies and localities to pay attention to removing obstacles in construction investment to speed up disbursement of public investment and national target programmes.
The PPC Chairman requested to strengthen discipline in state budget financing, improve management efficiency of state budget revenue and expenditure to ensure appropriate, sufficient and timely collection, prevent tax loss and strive to complete the assigned revenue estimation at the highest rate.
It is necessary to continue reviewing and simplifying administrative procedures in accordance with the regulations to improve the business climate and promote investment attraction in the province. It is also essential to better natural disaster prevention and control in rainy season, regularly inspect and accelerate implementation of the national target programme on building new-style rural areas.
The PPC Chairman directed the Department of Education and Training and localities to well prepare for the 2024-2025 new school year opening ceremony. Besides, the units and localities need to continue implementing the Directive No 26-CT/TU dated 2 June 2023 of the provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board on rectifying working style and attitude while enhancing responsibility in performing tasks and duties to meet the requirements in the new context. He also requested to organise meaningful activities on the National Day (September 2).
The province should strive to fulfill the targets on district and communal level administrative unit arrangement and adjustment to the provincial master plan as a foundation to prepare for the all-level provincial Party Congress in the 2025-2030 tenure.
