Special art programme in Hanoi celebrates National Day

A special art programme entitled ‘Independent Star’ was staged at Hanoi Opera House on August 18 in celebration of the 75th National Day of Vietnam (September 2, 1945-2020).

The annual event was co-organised by the 'Tap Chi Cong San' (Communist Review), the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee.

The programme featured songs and dances highlighting the country’s culture and history, praising those who laid down their lives for the national independence and freedom, thus fuelling patriotism among the audience.

The performances also recounted significant historical milestones of the country from over the past 75 years.

Audience to the event also listened to the sharing of historical witnesses on the fierce but glorious days of struggle during the August Revolution.

On the occasion, Hanoi City’s leaders presented gifts to outstanding revolutionary veterans who are living in the city to pay tribute to their service to the country.
