Special flight carries medical staff to the south for Covid-19 fight
Vietnam Airlines arranged an Airbus A321 aircraft to carry the medical staff and transport medical equipment to the south in the context of the regular flight route between the capital and Ho Chi Minh City having been suspended to strengthen epidemic prevention and control.

All passengers on the flight are experts, doctors and nurses from 11 medical agencies and hospitals including the Department of Health, 19-8 Hospital and Traditional Medicine Hospital under the Ministry of Public Security; Bach Mai Hospital; National Ear-Nose-Throat Hospital; National Hospital of Dermatology; National Hospital of Odonto Stomatology; National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology; Hanoi Medical University Hospital; Hanoi Vinmec Hospital; and Nam Dinh Provincial General Hospital.

The national flag carrier has urgently coordinated with working groups to arrange suitable flights as well as mobilising flight crews and prioritising procedures for these delegations at the airport.
The airline has also paid for a part of air fares for doctors and nurses while providing free transportation of all their luggage and medical supplies.
