Tan Yen expands lychee areas grown under VietGAP standard

(BGO) – To enhance
the lychee quality, Phuc Hoa commune in Tan Yen district, Bac Giang province
has recently coordinated with the Division of Agriculture and Rural
Development, district Center of Farming Technical Service to organize training
course and deliver the technology to the local farmers.
Particularly, the farmers were encouraged to focus on caring and preventing the worm and diseases on the early ripen lychee so that the fruits are ripen in time with good looking toward smooth consumption.

The locality also cultivates more 20 hectares of lychee under VietGAP standard in Hoa Lang and Quat Du 1 villages, making up total area of VietGAP lychee to 300 hectares in the commune.

of localities and enterprises to honor as the Vietnam Golden Agriculture Brands
2019, two of which are from Bac Giang province, namely Luc Ngan lychee and Yen

(BGO) - In recent
days, forums and the mass media have reflected the joy and admiration at the
record number of nearly 6,400 billion VND (197.4 million USD) in revenue from
150,000 tonnes of lychee of Bac Giang farmers. A rare phenomenon "repeated
in 60 years" is that "a basket of lychee earns three ‘chi’ (one ‘chi’
= 3.75grams) of gold".
Bac Giang lychee revenue hits all-time high
The 2019 lychee harvest in the northern province of Bac Giang set a new all-time record for revenue at over VND6.3 trillion (US$270.9 million), according to the Department of Industry and Trade of Bac Giang province.
Late ripen lychee enjoys high selling price in Bac Giang province
(BGO) – As of July 1, the fresh lychee
in Luc Ngan district, Bac Giang province was sold at high price of 69 – 78,000
VND (2.92 – 3.36 USD) per kilogram.
