Thousands of workers in IPs go to work on New Year holiday

BAC GIANG- In the context when the domestic and the world economy face numerous difficulties affecting the production, processing and manufacturing, many enterprises in the industrial parks (IPs) in northern province of Bac Giang can guarantee jobs for workers and operate during the New Year holiday.

According to a representative of the Trade Union of Bac Giang’s IPs, labourers in businesses and agencies nationwide are entitled to public holidays. However, thousands of workers in the IPs registered to work during the New Year holiday due to many urgent orders.

Some enterprises have a large number of workers going to work during the holiday such as JA Solar Company Limited in Quang Chau IP (3,000 workers), Hana Micron Vina Company Limited in Van Trung IP (950 officers and workers), Vina Solar Technology Company Limited in Van Trung IP (800 workers), Seojin Vietnam Company Limited in song Khe- Noi Hoang IP (200 workers) and San Wa Vietnam Company Limited in Dinh Tram IP (130 workers).

Labourers who went to work through the New Year holiday were paid wages and bonuses in accordance with regulations, thus they were happy at work.

According to the provincial Industrial Zones Authority, there have been total 488 investment projects in the IPs including 374 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects and 114 domestic projects by the end of December 2023. Currently, 424 enterprises are in operation.

Most of enterprises in the IPs have maintained stable production and business. Many FDI enterprises continue the good growth like the companies belonging to HonHai Technology Group, solar panel manufacturers, mechanic and manufacturing companies.
