Various activities held to care for wounded and fallen soldiers
The Vice President expressed her deep gratitude for the revolutionary contributors who sacrificed their lives to fight for national independence and freedom.

She hoped that the families of national contributors would continue to promote their revolutionary tradition to set an example for others to follow, contributing to national development.
Thinh also asked local authorities to pay more attention to the contributors to enhance the living standards of their families.
*The Vietnam Women’s Union held a meeting, which gathered female wounded soldiers from across the country, on July 24.
At the meeting, delegates recalled the services of fallen and wounded soldiers and shared touching stories of female invalids who have overcome their injuries and difficulties to stabilise their lives and make contributions to society.
* On the same day, leaders of the Da Nang City People's Committee visited and gave gifts to national contributors at the Da Nang and Quang Nam Nursing Centres for National Contributors.
* The authorities of An Giang province held a reburial ceremony for the remains of 172 fallen soldiers at the Doc Ba Dac Martyrs’ Cemetery in Tinh Bien district, An Giang province, on July 24. The remains of martyrs were recovered in Cambodia and An Giang province during the 2018 and 2019 dry season.
* The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province held an exhibition entitled “When you drink water, think of its source” at the Bac Ninh Province Museum to mark the 72nd anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day.
With more than 300 images and artifacts on display, the exhibition provided people with a better understanding of the Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day, activities to care for former soldiers, and the national tradition of “When you drink water, think of its source”.
*On July 24, a delegation from Nhan Dan newspaper visited and presented VND20 million (US$860) to wounded and sick soldiers at the Nursing Centre for National Contributors of Phu Tho province.
Many other provinces and cities across the country have also held a range of activities to care for national contributors and their families on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day.
