Viet Nam and Hungary promote cooperation in education and training
As part of efforts to strengthen educational and training cooperation between Viet Nam and Hungary, Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Bui Le Thai, together with Ambassadors of ASEAN countries in Hungary, paid a working visit to Győr University – one of Hungary’s leading higher education institutions.
Welcoming the delegation of ASEAN Ambassadors, the leadership of Győr University presented an overview of the university’s development, training strengths, and strategic orientation.

With a student body of over 14,000, including about 1,000 international students from nearly 80 countries worldwide, Győr University is increasingly asserting its position in Hungary’s and Europe’s higher education landscape.
During the meeting, Ambassador Bui Le Thai and the university's leadership engaged in in-depth discussions on the potential for expanding cooperation in education, training, and research between Viet Nam and Hungary.
In particular, they discussed increasing the number of Vietnamese students and postgraduate researchers studying at Győr University in the near future through government scholarship programmes from both countries and other forms of support, as well as fostering connections between Vietnamese universities and research centres and Győr University.
Ambassador Bui Le Thai’s visit to Győr University not only helped strengthen ties between the two countries’ educational institutions but also contributed to promoting the comprehensive partnership between Viet Nam and Hungary in training and developing high-quality human resources.
